Prvog jula u 20 sati zvanično je u “Beogradskoj areni” otvorena Univerzijada, koja će od 2. do 12. jula biti održana u Beogradu. Na 25. letnjoj Univerzijadi, takmičiće se preko 8.500 sportista iz 145 zemalja, a svečanoj ceremoniji otvaranja prisustvovalo je preko 15.000 učesnika, volontera i specijalnih gostiju.
